At The Spartan Poker, every one of our tournaments has a unique identity and a history. Today, we take you behind the velvet ropes to find out what gave these famous poker tournaments their unique names! 


Mega Freeze – Monday 
Driving away the Monday blues can be quite a task. But, what if, time just froze? What if it froze and gave you amazing returns, too? With this in mind, we named our Monday tournaments as the Mega Freeze – when time stops still but the chips still stack up well. 

Mega Stack – Tuesday 
After surviving the hell of a long and painful Monday, Tuesday should feel like a soothing balm to an aching head. There’s no better way to soothe a poker player’s mind than by offering him a shot at a huge stack of chips. And hence, Mega Stack was born!

Electra – Wednesday
Inspired by female superheroes and an electric personality, Wednesdays are now home to Electra. Ladies at the final table (FT) get a direct entry into the next Millionaire tournament. 

The Flash – Thursday 
When luck meets skill, poker players flourish quickly. At these tables, things move at a quick pace, and hence, The Flash. 

The Elite – Friday 
We all wish to have a good life and an amazing standard of living. For those aspiring for the rich and famous lifestyle, Friday is the day to make inroads into an elite life. Hence, Friday’s were bequeathed with The Elite – a tournament that wants you to succeed. 

DareDevil – Saturday
As the weekend rolls in, the spirit of partying and adventure takes a hold. For those with a mean streak and a great hand, the DareDevil is the perfect name for a Saturday tournament. 

Super Stack – Sunday
Kick back, relax, and watch your stack pile up high. Take a chill pill as the Sunday is dominated by the Super Stack, a fun way to end your week on a high!
